Today I ended up reinstalling Ubuntu since I had some problems. I got most everything working now and I just need to fix the no sound after a hibernate bug. I will also need to try and extend my battery life and will probably disable the desktop effects.

Supper today was chicken picata from Sams over rice and was really good for a change. It really has been a while since I had it. The weather was rain today and even some thunder. I took out the car for a bit today and rammed my foot. That hurts! Tomorrow will be showers and 64.

Well, this is kind of funny. I accidentally installed Ubuntu again. How do you accidentally install something? I wanted to put it onto a flash drive, but it put grub onto my hard drive so I said why not install the whole thing. Lets see how long this lasts! I got all my files onto it.

Supper today was really good chilly. I haven’t had chilly in awhile so that made it even better. I wanted to use my RC today but I was kind of busy with Linux and the rain yesterday means it was muddy today. The weather was cloudy today and nice. Tomorrow will be 71 and scattered storms.

Bit of a small one today. Supper was chicken Alfredo which came out really good today. The weather was really bad today and rained all day but I don’t mind much since it was a Sunday and I am tired anyway. Tomorrow will be 73 and partly cloudy. I played some more UT3 today. It really is a good game.

Well, today is a late post because of a car trip. We are going to a concert in Millburn, New Jersey today. So, you know what that means huh? Thats right, a long entry today. I was smart enough to just bring the Averatec today, and I an using the iPod for music. So without further stalling…

I find it weird that my friend never uses his laptop in the car, and he has an hour trip between college and his house. I usually just type up a blog entry, listen to music, or play some games on a car trip. It helps to kill time for me. I would be bored as hell without my trusty craptop computer! Sometimes, I even work on my web site a bit. I just need something to do really.

It really helps that I am just a huge geek though. I would dread car trips if I didn’t have SOMETHING to do. I used to bring my PDA loaded with games on trips before I got a laptop. I also loved brining a PDA in general since I would have something else to do in the place. I was going to bring my PSP today but changed my mind.

I hate the iPod sometimes. Right now especially. That thing has horrible volume. I mean seriously wow I can barley hear it in the car today. Since I lost of the tips to the Shure headphones, I am using the cheap 10 dollar Sony ones I buy all the time. I guess I will just listen to whatever parents have on the Sirius today.

So, as many people know from reading this site. Well, fine, the handful of people who read this site. I tried to learn C++ and Java, and decided to stop. Well, I am thinking of trying to learn some web design stuff but I am not sure what I want to do yet. I know there are plenty of tools that I can use to do this, but the real fun is in coding it all yourself by hand.

Well, as usual, my foot is asleep. Sadly the best way to sit in the car when I use the laptop for me is with my left leg crossed over to make a nice support area. This just happens to make my foot fall asleep. Oh well, its alright as long as I don’t have to get up.

Today is great for a car trip because its cloudy and we are supposed to get some rain off an on. We hit a few spots of mist so far. I like using the laptop when its cloudy since its a lot easier to see the screen. The sun is really annoying on a glossy screen laptop. Its also nice when its cloudy too because the sun isn’t beating on me.

So I had this really good idea for a the Microsoft ads. They could contact companies to send someone in, and they could have “I’m a PC” to show that PC users have choices. They could also talk about how people can build their own computers as well. Something a Mac user can’t do really. What is keeping me for getting a Mac is price really. I am still waiting on friend to get his new Mac so I could get his old Mini.

So, I took a little break from my blog today since I was hungry and kind of tired. I did something different this time though as I brought the laptop in with me. Since I don’t have a working PDA this is my only choice really. I did get 2 important things done however. I got 2 pages for my website, located at http://www.mikeypizano.110mb.com by the way, finished and I will upload them soon. I kind of want to wait since I may change the design soon.

So here is what I have for now, that I want to change. I have a simple 1 column page setup. Nothing all that fancy really. I want to setup one of three things however. Now, one of these is a bit different however. This will be the first that I talk about since its VERY different actually.

I want to get a domain name! Now, I can still use 110MB to host the pages or I could also get a different host, or even host it myself. I want to use a host since I won’t have to suffer with the :81 or similar since the ISP blocks hosting a server on port 80.I will keep 110MB for now but the reason I would like to move is so I can setup the blog, using WordPress, locally.

Ok, so really there are only 2 choices… I lied! One is a simple 2 column setup split about 10/90 (in percent). This would be the side bar for the navigation links. Now, this is also t he base of the second idea. It would be the 2 column setup BUT with the addition of a banner. Not an ad, but more less a logo if you will.

So what would this logo be? Well, you may have noticed I have a subtitle on the WordPress blog. Well, I did that as a bit of a joke, but I kind of like it. Now for those too lazy to simply look at the top of this page, it says: Mikey Pizano: Ramblings or Genius? You Decide!

So, you can see, I am trying to make this site a little more fun. Now, there is also another option… So I lied twice! HAHA! It would be to put these pages on WordPress, and use that as a site. It would be a little easier I assume.

Supper today was Five Guys which was amazing as last time was. The weather was nice but I have no clue about tomorrow right now.

Today was another fun day. It rained off and on today and was chilly. I talked to my UK friend again. You really have to love skype. I hooked up my PS3 in the kitchen so I have something to do at least tonight. I got to say I love UT3 but I can’t wait for Fallout 3 next month.

I had tacos for supper but I did it a little different. I used the scope shaped tortilla chips and just made mini tacos for a change. Tomorrow will be a nice 72 with showers. I am thinking of taking down that old Vaio, since I never use it.

Well, nothing really fun happened today as usual. I talked to my friend on Skype again though. I tried RockBox on my iPod and I didn’t really like it so I removed it. I might try it again another day though. It was kind of slow to load. Oh well!

Supper today was chicken fingers and left over pasta. Pasta is really good if you fry the left overs in some butter. I love it like that. The weather was really nice today and we are supposed to get rain tonight. It will be 63 and showers tomorrow.

Today was fun. I swapped in a faster hard drive to the Averatec, same size but 5400RPM. I reinstalled Windows to see if that helps to fix the touch pad not clicking on things problem I have been having. I did notice this drive is a lot quieter, which is nice.

Supper today was hot dogs and French fries and was really good. It was really nice today too. I was talking to my good friend on Skype for over an hour. He is from the UK so it was fun. We are supposed to get rain tomorrow night, around a half inch. It will be 68 with PM showers.

Today was a fun day. I took my TV up to get fixed. They claim this is the third time only but I know it is the fourth time. So no new TV yet. I hope I get a new TV. I have no TV for 2 weeks again which really sucks! I will have to find something to do in the mean time.

Supper today was pasta and it was good this time. The weather was great and I got the grass cut but I didn’t use the car today since I am tired. The cold is pretty much gone now too. The weather tomorrow will be 74 and sunny so that should be nice.

Well, isn’t this fun! My TV is getting the green tint again. Lucky for me, this is the fourth time it happened. Now, what does this mean? Simply put, they owe me a new TV. The lemon policy at Best Buy is the fourth time you bring it back they are supposed to replace it. Since they don’t sell my model anymore I should get a gift card.

If they give me a gift card, my parents will take that and get a new TV for the kitchen. I will get the 26″ Vizio we have in the kitchen now. Looks like my luck is getting better! The Vizio is a lower resolution, but has HDMI so I can use my PlayStation without needed separate audio cables. I will have to order a new cable from Monoprice if I get a new TV!

Now, I took back the iPaq on Saturday and didn’t get a replacement. What I will get is something a little different then what I actually want though however. I was looking around and the Linux version of the Eee PC 900 is only 350. This is the 16GB model, with 1GB of RAM. It is the 900MHZ Celeron model though however.

Now, I want to make this clear. I will not be buying it for quite awhile. Why am I waiting so long? Well, there is the chance the Atom based model can come down in price and be a better buy. There is also a good chance I will find something that suites my needs better. I might find a MSI Wind for cheaper, or maybe get one locally a little cheaper.

Why am I looking into getting the Linux model? It is 100 dollars cheaper then the Windows model for one. I am also planning on installing Ubuntu anyway. I will try the Xandros based Eee PC Linux as well though and may even keep it.

Supper today was McDonalds. I had the same 2 double cheeseburgers, and large fries. It was pretty good today too. The weather was nice and I didn’t play with my car today. Tomorrow will be 73 and sunny. And some good news to end this I am feeling a bit better!

Well isn’t this lovely. I am getting sick again! This will be fun! I took back the iPaq yesterday and now I am getting sick! I didn’t have to mow any lawns today so I got lucky there. I hope I am not sick too long as it was hard to sleep last night. I hate when I get sick and I am really thirsty.

Supper today barbecue chicken. It came out really great since he cooked it first then put the barbecue sauce on so it didn’t burn. I played with my RC car a lot today and it is running really great. The thing really has a lot of power too. I love the new engine. The weather tomorrow will be 72 and mostly sunny.
