Today was a warm day so I did some cleaning in the attic, raked stones from a yard, and set the throttle, drive and blade brake cables on the Honda. Funny enough, I forgot to change the blades on the Honda though, so that is a job for another day!
The grass is getting green, and soon it will be time to start mowing again so I need to get those blades changed. The weather for tomorrow looks like it will not be too cooperative, so it will wait. It will get chilly again for a few days and then warm up again nicely.
February 27, 2017
Well, today was a chilly day but warmer than yesterday. Tomorrow will be warmer too, and then again Wednesday with more thunderstorms, possibly worse than Saturday so I will keep an eye on things and see where it progresses.
I plan to see if I can squeeze in a little cleanup work tomorrow as I have 2 yards that I need to rake stones from grass, and since the grass is starting to get green, I want to get that done. I also need to see about setting the throttle on the Honda still as well.

Well, that storm actually did produce a EF2 tornado! That is pretty crazy since it was only a few miles for my house by straight line distance. Besides the yard being flooded last night I am very happy to say that we had NO damage here at all!
It was chilly today but tomorrow looks to be a bit warmer at 53. I keep hearing rumors that the cold is coming back to stay, but as always, they are WRONG again! That makes me VERY happy as I can’t wait to test out the KM131 and the new pressure washer!
February 25, 2017
Well today turned out to be far more interesting than I had thought that it would end up being. For one, I got a new pressure washer, and of course, the first one is bad. The vent cap for pump is missing, and the handle won’t even fit on it as the frame was bent.
So, it goes back to Lowe’s and they agree to give me the new model, that is replacing this one, for a little more. They took 10% off it, so I got the new one which is 3600PSi versus 3400PSI, for 625! I took it home, put the handle on, and it is ready to get used!
It needs oil put into the engine, which I will use full synthetic 10w30 instead of the stuff they gave me with it. I have that oil for the zero turn, and I can use the included oil in the Honda mower instead. So for once, not getting a working on the first time worked out better for me!
So after that, we go to eat, and stop at Walmart on the way home. Phones start vibrating, TORNADO WARNING! We were supposed to be in a slight risk of a severe thunderstorm, and we ended up with a possible tornado touching down not far from me.
The drive home from Walmart was pretty interesting as well due to the heavy downpour and some decent sized, and heavy, hail. My backyard is flooded, and we are going from almost 70 down to just under freezing tonight. It will warm up again though they claim.

I changed the oil in the zero turn, so after I clean it up a bit, swap blades and put the bagger back on, it is ready to go. I tried to do the Honda throttle adjustment today but it didn’t seem to work. I can get it to 2000RPM but it needs to be 3100, and if I try and go any higher, it surges.
So either something else is wrong, or my tachometer is not set right. It could also be off, I am not really sure right now. I need to figure this out before the grass is green though. The forecast for tomorrow is a little cooler than today, which hit 74, at 62, with thunderstorms in the afternoon.
February 23, 2017
Another very warm day again today. In fact it was so warm that I did a cleanup job, tilled both gardens, and replaced the spark plug boot on the Honda. The tachometer also came today so the plan for tomorrow is to start setting the RPM on the Honda.
Saturday will a bit cooler and we are supposed to get some thunderstorms, and to quote the local news meteorologist, they may be “feisty” storms. I like some good storms, so I am looking forward to them for sure. I am not sure if I have any work to do tomorrow yet.
February 22, 2017
Well another nice day today. I put a fuel line on the zero turn now, so this year I can just turn the gas off instead of running it completely dry, which takes a lot longer. I need to start getting more ready, and since it looks like my tachometer comes tomorrow, I can get the Honda ready!
I need to set the throttle and change the oil in the Honda, and change the oil and oil filter in the zero turn. I need to also charge the battery for the zero turn and put it back in the mower. I am going to rig up a thing to let me use a battery jump starter I have that has 12v out for now. The problem is it uses an electric parking break, and without the battery in it, I can’t even move it.
